The Wild Boar
Christmas Party Season is in full swing now,
Bar Decorations.
this year I am proud to be working up at The Wild Boar At Crook which is just outside Bowness. I am there through-out December every Friday and Saturday night as well as New Years Eve.

So far every night has seen slightly different party crowds in but they have all been fabulous nights,some guests have even re-booked for next year! When guests arrive they are meeted and greeted with a drinks reception,usually hosted by General Manager Andy Lemm.

After this guests are taken through to the restaurant area for their Christmas meal. The log fires are roaring as I play some old fashioned Christmas songs to get into the spirit of it, songs like Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives and Happy Holiday by Andy Williams.
Wild Boar Christmas Steaks…Yummy!
The food looks and smells amazing,especially the huge steaks cooked by Chef Miloslav. Once the main coarse has been served the guests are treated to various desserts including the hotels mouth-watering Christmas Pudding.

Once Coffee and Warm Mince Pies has been served we have a Champagne Raffle after which it is time for me to get the Christmas Party started! As I stated before every party night has been very different with varying age groups of guests, this is where I have to use my DJ knowledge and experience and read the crowd and react to what they like. The Party usually finishes around 12.30 where guests can move through to the main hotel bar for a nightcap if they so wish.

Each member of staff has been brilliant in looking after there guests,nothing is too much trouble and they all have big smiles on their faces. The management have staff have been so good to me and my family as well,looking after us,making sure we have eaten and have had a drink. Top quality nights at a brilliant venue…I cannot wait for this weekend!
