Its been another busy weekend of weddings starting at Bartle Hall on Friday night with the newly wed Mr and Mrs Kerr. My good friend Howard Wing got things going to his usual high standards during the day and for first the first part of the evening. The room looked fabulous as Bartle and everyone was ready to party when I took over. One of the highlights of the evening was when one of the Uncle Andy came across and rapped to Boom…Shake the Room by Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince. A really good mix of new tunes and party classics ensured the party kept going through till 1am. Saturday saw me over at The Birley Arms with Alison and Chris..The New Mr and Mrs Stallard.
The evening reception was held in the Marquee on the side of The Birley Arms. Alison and Chris had their first dance to Umbrella by Manic Street Preachers. The night was mainly a mix of 70s and 80s classics with a little cheese thrown in here and there! I got very excited when I was asked to play Its Tricky by Run DMC….what a tune! A great night was had by all and I would like to wish Alison and Chris a very happy and long life together. I would also like to compliment everyone at The Birley Arms for the way they looked after everyone throughout the wedding…I highly recommend you take a trip out there! Well my Blast From The Past track this week has to be……Its Tricky by RUN DMC as requested by 4 year old Sam and my Breakthrough track this week is Start Without You by Alexandra Burke, a sure fire top ten hit for The X Factor 2008 winner.
